Through the Lens: Shreve Memorial Library's Past, Present and Future

"Through the Lens: Shreve Memorial Library's Past, Present and Future" is a project of the Shreve Memorial Library Foundation to assist the library in creating an archive of library history, enhancing the accessibility of library programs, and teaching future generations how to record their own stories.  The project aims to preserve the rich history and culture of Shreve Memorial Library, its branches, and surrounding neighborhoods by recording the stories that make each branch unique; to provide the means for library staff to create high quality, visually stunning program recordings that are accessible to all library patrons and equipped with closed-captioning and screen readers for those who are hearing or visually impaired; and to teach future generations how to record their own stories through film and video production. The project is funded by a grant from the Carolyn W. & Charles T. Beaird Family Foundation.
